One Kings Lane room in yellow
Isn't yellow a great colour for spring? I definitely think it is. Lets do a yellow familyroom from my fav OneKingsLane:
Just as last time lets start with a great rug
To not overdo the yellow in the room I will add the colour mostly in the accessories. I think that a simple white sofa would work best in the room, so that the accents can take centre stage. The dark brown legs match the side table further down and ties the two pieces together.
add some nice yellow cushions in the sofa
I think that yellow works great with either grey and white or gold and white. I have chosen to go with gold and white for this room. This great coffee table is my main golden accent, the glass top makes it light and the rounded form of the legs goes great with the rounded shapes of both the carpet and the sofa.
Two of these yellow Alcott Bergere chairs would look great opposite the sofa.
in-between the chairs I would put something like this garden stool, which adds some soft colours as well as has some yellow in it. Garden stools are great pieces of furniture as they can serve as table, stools or just display pieces.
to make the room more grounded something earthy is needed and I believe that this side table would work great to do that. Its not too heavy so that it takes over the room but has a nice musty tone to it.
a few accent are needed on the side table and as I love ginger jars a yellow one in this room is a given
add a few nice lamps such as these gourd lamps, you can't go wrong with gourd lamps and these are golden so its a double win
always add foo dogs
birdcages
and some flowers to a room
a nice cloche also makes for an eye-catching display for something like the coral below with the added benefit that the wooden base nicely ties together with the other earthy objects, its always good to work in threes.
and I would say lets leave it at that for our yellow room.
