Pottery barn bedroom

So lets try a different store and this time I want to do a bedroom. Im thinking that the room is painted a darker shade of muted blue which will make the room cosy and give it a slight cocoon feel. Im although putting in lighter furniture so that its still airy and fresh and I imagine that it has quite a big windowed wall. Also I have oddly enough decided to give it an equestrian element. Lets go


As always I start with the rug this time a huge tile rug which covers most of the floor in the room.

The centrepiece in the room is of course the bed this is the Ardley headboard which has a beautiful shape and looks really elegant in off white.

on either side of the bed I will put these Park mirrored bedside tables. They are very pretty and I would love to have these in my own home. Not only are they a pretty shape but they will also pick up on all the colours in the room especially from the darker shade in the walls as well as the pattern and colour of the rug.

on top of the bedside tables lets put these performed ceramic jar lamp. They have a nice ambiance light at night which will multiply through the mirrored bedside table.

At the end of the bed I would put a Raleigh bench both pretty and practical

I would use this Kendra Trellis Duvet cover and sham bedding which is elegant and the colour and pattern goes well with the rug in the room.

This elegant Branford extra wide dresser would go beautifully in the room and tie together with the black details in the room. It has a lot of storage space and is a great place to display some decorative objects.

So lets decorate. First lets put some stacked crystal table lamps on it

and a wire horse sculpture which ties into our equestrian theme with the art below

Lets get the clutter organised with some fancy mirrored dresser top treys

and some flowers of course I choose hydrangeas

Two Barlett armchairs by the great big windows in the room with some pillows in it that matches the ones in the bed gives us a great small seating area

Between the chairs Ill put a Merritt bistro table

lets add some practical sconces on both sides of the bed.

Other details need to be in the room such as these batik vases

a big picture either over the dresser or over the bed of this white horse framed print

and how about this huge sonia floor mirror. Its the colour goes well with the duvet and the rug and it would look beautiful against a dark blue muted wall.

And thats it we are done.
